Privacy

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN A SOLICITOR AND CLIENT IS PRIVILEGED.

What that means is that except under extreme circumstances we cannot be required to disclose what you have told to us, unlike a doctor or even a religious advisor

To ensure that your affairs are kept private and only discussed between you and us, please be aware that we will require that you identify yourself when you call and for that reason please understand that we will ask you to confirm your telephone number and name when leaving a message. Even if you have supplied it to us many times before; please do not assume that we have your details. It is for your security that we ask you to confirm who you are. You might have recently moved or you may not want us to contact you on the regular number.

Please also note that without specific written authority by you we will not discuss your affairs with anyone other than you. Please do not therefore ask a friend to ring up on your behalf without having given an authority to us in advance.

Where we are acting for two or more clients jointly it is on the clear understanding that we are authorised to act on instructions from either both or any of them.
