Recent data issued by the Land Registry indicates an annual increase of 4.6% in property values in England & Wales. The Land Registry’s figures, issued in May 2015, shows that the average property value is now £179,696. The data from the Land Registry statistics show that London and the South East experienced the highest rise in value with a movement of 9.1% over the last year. However, despite the continued increase in property values, the volume of transactions has actually decreased by 12% when compared to March 2014.
As well as being able to access market value information through the Land Registry you can also access useful guidance on a wide range of property related matters. For example, detailed information is given for the process of determining boundaries and guidance is given for how to take steps to fix the exact line of a boundary.
