We will need to hold personal data about you in order to conduct your case and to satisfy our Anti Money Laundering obligations. Your data will be held confidentially and we will only disclose any personal data to a third party in order to progress your case or according to our legal obligations under the Money Laundering Regulations 2017. Your data will be held according to the timescales set out for storage of papers in our Terms & Conditions and under Storage of Papers on this website. We may, from time to time, use these details to send you information which we think may be of interest to you. If you believe there is a problem with our data processing, please contact us or use our Complaint Procedure, which is also in our Terms and Conditions and on this website.

Personal data collected from initial enquiries will be passed to department secretaries for the purposes of contacting potential clients. If we take on your case, this information will remain on your file, as above. In all other circumstances it will be destroyed within 7 days
 of our last contact with you, with the following exception:

      · Holden & Co uses the web-based Hoowla quote generator on behalf of some of our conveyancing clients. Hoowla holds the space spac personal information that we submit on their behalf within a secure environment until instructed by us to destroy it. We currently blan require the data to be destroyed after 6 months. This timescale is subject to annual review by the Office Manager. Hoowla's own spac Privacy Policy can be found at

Under the General Data Protection Regulation 2016 you have the following rights over your personal data:

      · you can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, either verbally or in writing, which will be provided to you within blan one month

      · you can have inaccurate personal data corrected

      · you can ask to have your personal data erased unless that contravenes a legal obligation or the public interest

      · you can ask us to restrict processing of your data eg. you may not want us to use it for marketing purposes
